Abstract

In this paper the spectral properties of the nonlocal Samarskii-Ionkin type problems for a fourth-order ordinary differential equation are investigated. The eigenvalues and corresponding eigenfunctions are found and their completeness are studied. The spectral properties of the adjoint problem are also studied. Further, the Riesz basis property of the systems of root functions of these problems is proved.
